Here are 15 tried and true BBQ tips to keep your guests entertained without fail.

Hosting A Bbq Party

As you can see, most of these backyard barbecue tips are from mistakes I’ve made in the past while entertaining friends and family. This first tip is one I don’t do often. But when I prepare as much as possible, it makes all the difference in how I enjoy cooking for everyone.

How To Host A Successful Bbq Party In Christmas

Make sure all the meat is ready to go on the grill when guests arrive. Also, assemble, cook, and pre-serve all the side dishes. You don’t want guests arriving while you’re making burger patties and chopping lettuce and tomato.

Can I raise my hand again like it’s bad? Triple check to make sure there is enough gas in the propane tank for your gas stove or enough charcoal for your charcoal grill to cook dinner!

I drove more than I wanted to allow at the gas station while my half-cooked meal sat in the cooler waiting for me to come back with propane. When I come back to cook, the meat tastes alive and breathes.

This tip comes in handy during the big backyard BBQ. And in our family, it’s even better. Ask your guests to bring side dishes. Perhaps, you will be treated to a variety of delicious food.

Tips For Hosting Your First Bbq In Your New Home

Don’t feel that asking for a side dish is a burden. People like to show off their expensive dishes. Besides, you don’t want to pick up five pounds of baked beans, piles of potato salad, and lots of fruit when you’re organizing the house and yard.

It will be dark outside during the backyard party. Be prepared with tiki lights or other decorative lights.

We love our solar lights! They have a regular schedule, so they start at sunset. In that way, we don’t want to turn on the lights. They are very beautiful; we keep forever.

As with all summer dining and entertaining events, there’s nothing more annoying than people gathering in the kitchen or around the grill. This is true even if most of the work is planned in advance. (This recipe deserves its own post!)

Tips For Hosting The Perfect Bbq Party

So we set up a dining table OUTSIDE the kitchen and grill. My wife and I purchased a storage table to be set up for this purpose. It is stored in our garage when we don’t need it.

You have it on your plate without making homemade barbecue food, too. The easiest way is to stick to simple things. Here are some easy BBQ ideas.

Save yourself unnecessary cutting and mixing. Most of these details are readily available from your local supply chain.

How To Host An Epic Summer Bbq Party

In preparation for the event, be sure to stock a cooler with ice, water bottles, water bottles, and other beverages. Pack a fresh tub full of beer, wine, and other beverages. To cool the drinking house, use steel tanks instead of Igloo cooling.

Offer guests their first drink and encourage them to help themselves after that. That way, you can greet newly arrived guests and eliminate last-minute cooking tasks.

If you want to serve up a fun mocktail or cocktail machine, go for it! I recommend mixing it first, so you’re not constantly measuring, stirring, and pouring.

In the summer, children take time to go outside and play. Take your outdoor event to the next level with lawn games that kids and adults alike will enjoy.

Set up outdoor games like cornhole, horseshoes, or Twister before the party starts. This way, the kids can immediately play the game and the parents can start drinking… ahem… socializing.

Don’t overwhelm your guests with stale hamburgers and hot dogs. Chances are, they went to a barbecue last night and ate the same thing. Combine with burger toppings!

For the perfect BBQ, fire up the backyard with a Traeger grill and grill pork or brisket! My pellet gun never fails to impress.

Nothing says summer better than s’mores made over an open fire. The best part is that you don’t have to cook it. All you need are marshmallows, chocolate bars, graham crackers, and marshmallow sticks.

For jazz, use Marshmallow Peeps and chocolate chips to make your own s’mores.

You don’t have to build a fire pit to light a backyard fire. There are many fire extinguishers available for every size or budget.

You can stop by with s’mores. But if s’mores aren’t your jam and you want to give your guests a new flavor, then serve one or more of these simple and crowd-pleasing treats.

For a memorable event, choose a theme and design accordingly. Go to the thrift store to pick the cheapest items.

If you are celebrating Memorial Day or the 4th of July, then decorate with red, white, and blue balloons. Go for a luau theme with flowers and bouquets. Or host a Mexican party with pinatas, colorful decorations, and sombreros.

Hosting an outdoor event means you may have unwanted guests. Insects like bees, flies, and ants will be attracted to any good food you serve. Now you can also participate in the event.

Ways To Host A Backyard Bbq On A Budget

An easy way to prevent insect bites is to put tarps on your outdoor table. You should light a citronella candle to keep the cats calm and give off a nice glow. Add sage to your fire to prevent further damage. Handing out paper fans to barbecue participants also helps.

When working with fire, safety is the most important thing. Burgers, sausages, and bone-in chicken and breasts are high in fat that can cause bloating. Fire cooking doesn’t mean turning on your grill to get everything burning.

The last thing you want is to put your family, friends, or yourself in trouble. Make sure you have a gas bottle ready for low heat. Have a fire extinguisher nearby when it happens. Yes, I used mine.
