For this purpose, use an Internet Address Translation (NAT) gateway in your VCN. With a NAT gateway, hosts on a specific subnet can initiate a connection to the Internet and receive responses, but they cannot receive incoming traffic from the Internet.

All application models within the scope of availability are active. A load balancing instance receives requests and sends them to the application server. The server application processes these requests and sends them to the database. You can access instances on private subnets on port 22 through a bastion host or Dynamic Routing gateway (DRG) if you set up an IPSec VPN connection between your enterprise and the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DRG.
Oracle recommends that databases and applications deployed on Oracle Cloud infrastructure should have robust backups for recovery measures. It is recommended to store the database content and the application on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Databases and application instances in private subnets can be backed up to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure storage through service gateways. The service gateway provides access to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure storage without going through the Internet.
This architecture demonstrates the deployment of Oracle E-Business Suite applications at as many levels as possible. It represents a virtual cloud (VCN) with bastions, load balancers, applications, and databases placed on different subnets in two virtual environments.
Multiple forwarding servers are deployed in each domain to ensure availability. All server applications in the availability phase are sent to various error levels. By using separate fault domains, instances are protected against unexpected and planned hardware failures due to hardware shortages. Additionally, to ensure availability in the absence of the primary source, redundant samples are created from other available sources. By default, instances of Availability Domain 1 are active and instances of Availability Domain 2 are on standby.
